PHOENIX (AP) - Authorities say a smoke-shop clerk has been shot and wounded after a robbery and two suspects are being sought.

Phoenix police say the incident occurred late Thursday afternoon.

Witnesses told police that two men walked into the Discount Tobacco Smoke Shop at 32nd and Roosevelt streets and fled with cash after shooting the clerk in the side.

Police say the 25-year-old clerk was taken to a hospital with injuries that are not life-threatening.

The man’s name hasn’t been released yet.

Police say the armed robbers fled the scene in an SUV and witnesses provided a description of the vehicle.
