BLOOMINGTON, Minn. (AP) - WDIO-TV of Duluth, Minnesota Public Radio and WCCO-AM of Minneapolis are among top winners in the 2015 Minnesota Associated Press Broadcasters awards contest.

WDIO won best-in-show for a report on a National Guard veteran who killed himself. KTTC-TV of Rochester won for a report on women who carry weapons. Other television winners include KAAL-TV of Austin/Rochester and KELO-TV of Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

MPR’s report on a U.S. citizen who is on the federal no-fly list was a best-in-show winner. WCCO won first in spot news for reporting on the removal of Black Lives Matter protesters in Minneapolis. Other radio winners include KTOE-AM Mankato, WTIP-FM Grand Marais and KVSC-FM St. Cloud.

The awards will be presented Friday night at the annual AP banquet at the Midwest Journalism Conference in Bloomington.
