PALMER, Mass. (AP) - One person has died in an early morning fire in Palmer.
The blaze in the town’s Bondsville section was reported at about 5:30 a.m. Friday.
Two police officers were the first on the scene and tried to attack the blaze with fire extinguishers.
Fire Chief Scott Gustafson tells WWLP-TV that the victim was found in the living room of the home, which appears to be the point of origin.
Two other residents and a dog survived. The people were taken to a hospital as a precaution and the dog was given oxygen at the scene.
No names were released.
