MINOT, N.D. (AP) - Authorities say they’ve arrested a 23-year-old Burlington man on suspicion of tying up a woman in her Minot home during an armed robbery.

The Ward County Sheriff’s Office says police officers responded to the home on Friday morning and talked to a 21-year-old woman who told officers she found the man on her house’s main floor and was ordered back to the basement. She said the man tied her up, stole items from the home and fled. She was able to free herself 30 minutes later and called police.

Ward County sheriff’s deputies tracked the victim’s cell phone, and McLean County deputies stopped the suspect’s vehicle in Underwood.

The man was arrested on suspicion of felonious restraint, terrorizing and armed robbery. Formal charges are pending.
