GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (AP) - The Grand Rapids Symphony is planning a tribute to legendary musician David Bowie.

The Grand Rapids Press reports (https://bit.ly/1RUEsgH ) the Aug. 2 event at Cannonsburg Ski Area will include Windborne Music, which has brought several other tribute shows to the area. The performers will join the Grand Rapids Symphony for songs including “Ziggy Stardust.”

The show is part of the 2016 D&W Fresh Market Picnic Pops Series.

Bowie died in January at age 69.

The Detroit Symphony Orchestra earlier announced a Bowie tribute that’s billed as a symphonic odyssey exploring the legendary musician’s works. The event “The Music of David Bowie” takes place July 10 at Meadow Brook amphitheater in suburban Detroit.
