WEEHAWKEN, N.J. (AP) - No traffic delays are expected when one of the Lincoln Tunnel’s tubes is closed for a charity run over the weekend.
Vehicles will be blocked from the south tube for approximately four hours on Sunday so runners can participate in the 30th annual Lincoln Tunnel Challenge 5K. The 3.1-mile race benefits Special Olympics New Jersey.
The tunnel’s north and center tubes will remain open during the run.
Runners gather at the NJ Transit bus parking lot in Weehawken and the run begins at 8 a.m. Sunday.
