UPPER MARLBORO, Md. (AP) - A man who pleaded guilty to carjacking an ambulance and causing a fatal crash has been sentenced to 16 years in prison.

The Prince George’s County State’s Attorney’s Office said in a news release that 34-year-old Sebastian Isaksen of Silver Spring was sentenced Friday. He had pleaded guilty to carjacking, vehicular manslaughter and DUI.

Prosecutors say in December 2014, Isaksen crashed the car he was driving in College Park. Emergency workers saw the incident and stopped to help. Police say Isaksen attacked the two emergency workers and drove off in the ambulance. Later, police say he crashed the ambulance into a car and killed its driver, 77-year-old Alvin Hargrave.
