ROSWELL, N.M. (AP) - Authorities in Roswell say an autopsy will be performed to try to determine the cause of death of a baby girl.
Roswell police say they were called to a home after emergency medical personnel were the initial responders about 11 a.m. Thursday.
Police say they’re investigating the incident as a suspicious death.
Medics found the nearly 4-month-old baby inside the home and say the girl was unresponsive.
A medic attempted CPR without success and the infant was officially pronounced dead.
Authorities say there were no visible indications on the child to determine a possible cause of death.
