LEOMINSTER, Mass. (AP) - A man trimming a tree at a Leominster home has died after falling out of a bucket truck and plunging about 50 feet to the ground.

Authorities say the 26-year-old man worked for a landscaping and tree trimming company.

Police Lt. Richard Kinney says the man was in the bucket when he cut a tree limb that swung back and knocked him out of the bucket at about 3 p.m. Thursday. He was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The man’s name was not immediately released.

The man worked for Affordable Landscaping & Tree Service.

Dennis Owen, the homeowner, tells The Sentinel & Enterprise that the victim was not breathing after he hit the ground, but a neighbor performed CPR and he started breathing again.
