MUSKEGON, Mich. (AP) - A county clerk in western Michigan is offering wedding vow renewal services.

Muskegon County Clerk Nancy Waters will host and officiate a wedding vow renewal in exchange for a $25 fee her office collects. A copy of vows and a certificate would be given to couples.

The Muskegon Chronicle (https://bit.ly/23nx0C7 ) reports the first vow renewal service was Thursday, with Muskegon County Commissioner Jeff Lohman and his wife renewing their vows at the Muskegon County Courthouse. Waters said Lohman had approached her and asked if she did vow renewals.

Waters has routinely officiated weddings in her office, where she added a makeshift wedding chapel using personal funds last year shortly after the U.S. Supreme Court’s ruling on same-sex marriage.
