ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) - Albuquerque police say a man randomly fired a gun and wounded four people after his house party got out of control.
Authorities booked 19-year-old Triston Whitmire on four counts of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon in the early Saturday shooting.
According to a criminal complaint, Whitmire told investigators he forced several uninvited guests - including one who was armed - to leave.
Whitmire says that’s when people began to kick the door and a window shattered.
Police say Whitmire then fired his weapon through the glass.
Police say a 23-year-old man was found shot in the neck in the front yard.
Three other victims, between ages 18 and 22, were located at the hospital.
Officer Fred Duran says all four are in critical condition.
It’s unknown if Whitmire has an attorney.
