BOSTON (AP) - Democratic Massachusetts Attorney General Maura Healey is joining top officials from the University of Massachusetts-Boston and a city youth foundation to deliver an anti-violence message through basketball.

Healey, who played varsity basketball at Harvard University, is scheduled to attend the All Star Anti-Violence Youth Summit at UMass on Sunday.

The day will begin with a basketball tournament and campus tours for middle school-aged youth and their families, followed by events focused on developing recommendations for gun violence prevention.

The 3Point Foundation, which promotes character development and academic success through basketball, is scheduled to participate.

3Point Foundation CEO Andrew Mirken and foundation Chairman Neil Jacobs are scheduled to attend, as well as UMass-Boston Chancellor Keith Motley and other university officials.
