ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) - Albuquerque police have identified the victim of a deadly shooting at a motel.
Officer Simon Drobik said Saturday that 30-year-old Michael Herrera died after an argument among several people escalated into an altercation.
According to police, Herrera was dead before officers arrived at Best Choice Motel.
A 35-year-old man was wounded by a gunshot in the leg.
Investigators say the suspected shooter fled the scene before officers arrived.
The suspect is described as a Hispanic male with short, possibly shaved light brown hair.
He was seen wearing a black shirt, jean shorts and a black cross tattoo on the inside of his forearm.
