LAS VEGAS (AP) - Firefighters in in Las Vegas have rescued several people from flooding caused by heavy rain.

The Clark County Fire Department says a 50-year-old man became stuck in a flood control channel Saturday afternoon near Dean Martin Drive and Tropicana Avenue.

Assistant Fire Chief Larry Haydu says the man was in the flood control channel under an overpass.

He was rescued and uninjured.

A crew at that incident subsequently discovered three people trapped in a flood control channel nearby.

All three were rescued but one was hospitalized for a minor leg injury.

Haydu says people need to stay clear of flooded roads and flood control channels.

The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood warning for the county, saying more rain and thunderstorms are possible later in the day.
