MARIETTA, Ga. (AP) - Police say a 21-year-old man was killed when he drove his vehicle into a wall at a shopping mall in suburban Atlanta.
Cobb County Police spokeswoman Dana Pierce said in an email Saturday that Joseph Almeida of Marietta accelerated into a cinder-block wall after driving erratically in the parking lot behind the Jets Pizza business. Almeida was taken to Wellstar Kennestone Hospital where he was pronounced dead on Friday.
Pierce says there were no other injuries during the crash.
