PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) - A man is expected to recover after deputies shot him in northwestern Oregon.

The Oregonian reports (https://bit.ly/1SGClwC) the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and Forest Grove police responded to a disturbance Thursday night at a home in Cornelius.

A neighbor said a man was breaking windows and causing property damage.

Sgt. Bob Ray said deputies and officers found 54-year-old Greg Howard Moore to be uncooperative.

The encounter escalated and Ray says Moore was shot at least once.

Moore refused to leave his house for more than an hour, but was eventually taken into custody.

Ray said Moore had an outstanding felony warrant.

The Washington County Major Crimes Team is investigating the shooting.
