PAISLEY, Fla. (AP) - Wildlife officials hope to reunite a cub that fled a wildfire in Lake County with the cub’s mother.

Florida Fish and Wildlife officers said Friday that efforts at a reunion will be made after the cub heals from being singed by flames.

WFTV in Orlando (https://bit.ly/1TzJbcl ) reports that wildlife officers say they believe they have located the mother.

Homes were evacuated Thursday, as what started as a brush fire grew to more than 275 acres.

Firefighters continued to monitor hot spots Friday.
