RAPID CITY, S.D. (AP) - Rapid City has set a record for the number of building permits issued in March.
The Rapid City Journal reports (https://bit.ly/1RXjsG2 ) the city issued 264 building permits in March with a total valuation of $62.6 million.
The month was helped by a record-setting day on March 30, when the city issued a permit for Black Hills Corporation’s $45.8 million headquarters facility.
For the year, the City has issued 687 permits with a total valuation of $100.7 million. That’s nearly double the amount for the first three months of 2015, when 763 permits approved with a total valuation of $56.6 million.
