The widow of “American Sniper” author Chris Kyle has joined the Fox News Channel as a contributor, the network said Monday.

Taya Kyle, founder of the Chris Kyle Frog Foundation, a support network for military families, “will provide military and family commentary across FNC’s daytime and primetime programming,” Fox News said in a statement obtained by The Hollywood Reporter.

Ms. Kyle made her first appearance as a contributor Monday morning on “Fox & Friends.”

Ms. Kyle, author of “American Wife,” was portrayed by actress Sienna Miller in the 2014 Clint Eastwood film “American Sniper” about her Navy SEAL husband’s life.

She’s currently traveling the country with the Patriot Tour to teach lessons of grief, faith and love to those in need, Fox News said.
