AURORA, Minn. (AP) - Iron Ranger natives Joe Marcella and Leonard Pylka have a long history that goes back to World War II.

They fought in the same area overseas and are now the last living members of the Last Man’s Club - which started out with 92 veterans in 1985.

The group bought a bottle of cognac intending to save it until the club got down to its last two members. Then they would share it to honor their fellow veterans that passed before them. WDIO-TV reports (https://bit.ly/2babjmc ) that milestone happened Saturday at the American Legion post in Aurora.

They agreed the Remy Martin tasted old.

Marcella is 95 and Pylka is 97. They no longer live on the Iron Range but agree coming back to their childhood home was a special moment.
