PICKENS, S.C. (AP) - A company that makes equipment that helps manufacturers improve their efficiency is building a plant in Pickens County that will add more than 50 jobs.
JR Automation Technology said Monday it will invest more than $3 million in the new plant near Liberty. The building is expected to be complete in April.
The jobs are expected to pay between $20 and $48 per hour.
The company has been operating in Pickens County since 2011, using rented space.
Pickens County Council approved an incentive package shortly before the announcement of the new plant.
