GAINESVILLE, Ga. (AP) - A Gainesville man has been arrested after authorities say he drove a car into a person holding a baby and then fired a gun into a group of people.

Hall County Sheriff’s Office Lt. Scott Ware said in a news release that 29-year-old Saul Garcia faces seven counts of aggravated assault involving the incident.

Deputies say Garcia struck a person with his vehicle on Sunday. Ware says that person was holding at baby at the time.

Garcia is also accused of firing a gun from his car at another person who was standing nearby. No one was injured.

It’s unclear if Garcia, who also faces a reckless conduct charge, has an attorney. Authorities did not give a motive for the attack.
