NOGALES, Ariz. (AP) - Police in Nogales say two men have been accused of attempted murder in a stabbing case.

They say officers responded to the scene around 2 a.m. Tuesday and found an 18-year-old man with knife wounds to his arm and stomach.

He was transported to a hospital for treatment and his name and condition weren’t immediately released.

Police say 18-year-old Javier Cervantes Jr. and 19-year-old Ruben L. Martinez were identified as suspects in the case.

They were located around 6 a.m. and taken into custody without incident.

Police say Martinez was booked into jail for suspicion of one count of attempted second-degree murder while Cervantes is being held on suspicion of conspiracy to commit second-degree murder.

It’s unclear if either man has an attorney yet.
