LEWISTON, Maine (AP) - A group of students who are walking from Lewiston, Maine, to Goffstown, New Hampshire, are expected to reach the midway point soon.

Fifty students from Saint Anselm College are making the journey to raise money for an assortment of charities in Maine and New Hampshire.

The group is breaking up the approximately 124-mile journey over eight days, starting Aug. 20 and ending on Saturday. They are expected to reach Sanford, Maine, on Tuesday. Sanford is just past the midway point in the walk.



Tuesday’s leg of the journey begins in Waterboro. The group is staying in places such as churches, gyms and schools along the way.

The walk concludes at Saint Anselm College, which is located in Goffstown.
