Son accused of beating 80-year-old mother to death in Fresno

FRESNO, Calif. (AP) - A man has been accused of beating his 80-year-old mother to death in her Fresno home.

The Fresno Bee reports (https://bit.ly/2bDMYra ) that the mother, whose name has not yet been released, died overnight Wednesday of blunt-force trauma after she was attacked. She was found by a granddaughter who called police.

Police have arrested the woman’s 50-year-old son in investigation of murder charges. They say he had a strained relationship with his mother and other family members.
