DETROIT (AP) - A 30-year-old man has been sentenced for his role in the shooting death of a 3-year-old Detroit girl.

Jonathan Burks was ordered Tuesday to spend 18 years to 40 years in prison for home invasion and another two years for using a firearm during a felony.

Anaiya Montgomery and two men were shot March 27 in a home on Detroit’s west side.



Three other men were charged in the case.

Diallo Davis was sentenced to nine years to 20 years in prison for assault with intent to murder. Reginald Street faces a hearing this week.

Paul Kendall was charged with murder, but was found hanged in April in his jail cell. The county sheriff’s office has said it appeared Kendall committed suicide.
