OCEAN SPRINGS, Miss. (AP) - Police have arrested a woman accused of wielding butcher knives to rob a bank in Ocean Springs.
The Sun Herald reports (https://bit.ly/2axm9Ba ) that 28-year-old Brittnei Farmer, of Saucier, was arrested Wednesday on an armed robbery charge about four hours after the robbery at a Hancock Bank branch.
Ocean Springs Police Capt. William Jackson says Farmer was arrested after a traffic stop and was jailed pending an initial court appearance before Municipal Judge Matthew Mestayer.
Jackson says a dye pack placed in Farmer’s bag, along with an undisclosed amount of money, exploded as she fell into a ditch while running in the bank’s parking lot.
