RED ROCK, Ariz. (AP) - Authorities say the body of a north Phoenix man missing since June has been found in southern Arizona.
The Pinal County Sheriff’s Office say searchers found the body of 70-year-old Conan Nelson in the desert west of Red Rock and Interstate 10 and about a mile from where his SUV was found stuck in a wash.
The Sheriff’s Office says the cause of death isn’t apparent.
Nelson’s body was found Thursday following several days of searching after the SUV was found.
A Silver Alert was issued for Nelson in June after his family reported him missing.
He was last seen at a convenience store in Stanfield west of Casa Grande and a witness reported him seeming confused and disoriented at that time.
