FORT SUMNER, N.M. (AP) - The driver of a newspaper delivery truck who was reported missing has been found dead after his vehicle crashed in southeast New Mexico.

State Police say the body of 59-year-old Elmer Waite was located Monday morning.

New Mexico Department of Transportation workers were doing maintenance along U.S. 60 and found the cargo van in a ravine.

Waite reportedly suffered a medical episode.

He was reported missing Friday after failing to complete his deliveries.

Waite was an employee of the Santa Fe New Mexican print shop and delivered papers to southeastern New Mexico several times a week.

He had last been seen in Clovis around 3 a.m. Friday, but never made his next stop in Fort Sumner.
