DETROIT (AP) - Police in Detroit are seeking two men who bypassed a cash register and stole three boxes of individually wrapped pastries from a gas station.

WXYZ-TV reports (https://bit.ly/2aQb9Am ) Tuesday that no cash was taken in the Sunday holdup.

Surveillance video shows one of the men gathering up the boxes from a shelf and walking out the door to a waiting car. The second man is seen at the door with a handgun.

Detroit police spokesman Sgt. Michael Woody called the robbery “a very dumb thing to be doing.”

Woody adds that “most of the businesses in this city are very giving to their community” and that he’s sure if the suspects had asked “they could’ve gotten most of what they really wanted.”
