CORTLAND, N.Y. (AP) - A central New York man has pleaded guilty to charges in the crash that killed his 6-year-old daughter last year.

Thirty-year-old Daniel Haynes III of Virgil recently pleaded guilty in Cortland County Court to a felony count of aggravated vehicular homicide for the April 2015 crash in his hometown.

Authorities say Haynes was driving at least 100 mph with his three daughters and two adults as passengers when his vehicle slammed into a utility pole. His daughter Alexia was killed. His other daughters, ages 8 and 10, and the adults suffered minor injuries.

Police said none of the girls was wearing a seat belt.

Prosecutors say Haynes’ blood alcohol content was 0.16 percent, twice the legal limit.

Haynes faces up to 20 years in prison when he’s sentenced Sept. 13.
