WILMINGTON, N.C. (AP) - Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump is returning to eastern North Carolina for a pair of stops.

Trump was scheduled to hold a rally Tuesday afternoon at Trask Coliseum on the campus of the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. He’ll head inland to Fayetteville’s Crown Coliseum for an event in the early evening.

Trump last came to North Carolina for public events two weeks ago, when he and running mate Mike Pence participated in a Winston-Salem rally, then addressed the Veterans of Foreign Wars meeting in Charlotte. Pence held an event last Thursday in Raleigh.

North Carolina is a presidential battleground state that has also attracted Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton and running mate Tim Kaine in the past couple of weeks.
