LAUREL, Del. (AP) - Delaware State Police say one person was killed and two people were hurt when a pickup truck and an SUV collided in Laurel.

The agency said in a news release that the crash happened Monday morning on Gordy Road. Troopers say a 35-year-old woman from Willards, Maryland, was driving a pickup truck west. Police say the driver lost control of the truck, which crossed into the eastbound lanes.

Investigators say the truck hit an SUV driven by a 64-year-old woman from Delmar, Delaware. Both vehicles ended up in a ditch.

Police say a 36-year-old male passenger in the pickup truck died at a hospital. The drivers of the two vehicles were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The crash is under investigation.
