COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) - Columbus police say a woman was killed in the city’s south side and homicide detectives are detaining a man for questioning in connection with the death.

Officers were dispatched to a home around 6:10 p.m. Sunday following reports of an altercation between a man and a woman.

Police say the woman was found dead inside the residence. Her identity is being withheld pending notification of family.

Details regarding what led up to the slaying weren’t immediately released.

The man that police took into custody for questioning at the scene was also not identified.
