HAGERSTOWN, Md. (AP) - Police say a 24-year-old woman who was walking home from work was killed in a hit-and-run in Hagerstown.

Police say Katlyn Marie Hughes of Hagerstown was pronounced dead at the hospital early Saturday.

The Hagerstown Police Department says Hughes was walking home from work before 5 a.m. when she was struck. Witnesses tell police that the vehicle that hit Hughes did not stop and fled the scene.

Police say the vehicle is a gray or silver Chrysler PT Cruiser made between 2006 and 2010. They say the car should have front-end damage. They’re asking anyone with information about the suspect to contact authorities.
