EAST PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) - Police in East Providence say they’ve located a vehicle they believe belongs to a man wanted on murder charges in a fatal stabbing.

Lt. Raymond Blinn said Saturday that a 2011 white Jeep Grand Cherokee was found in Johnston and has been seized by police. Police say the man believed to have been driving it, 29-year-old James Stevens, of Providence, remains at large.

Police say Stevens is a suspect in the Dec. 10 stabbing of 24-year-old Jasper Williams, who died of his injuries at Rhode Island Hospital on Thursday.

Police are asking anyone with information on the suspect’s whereabouts to contact them.
