SALT LAKE CITY (AP) - Authorities have identified a 21-year-old man who died after leading police on a high-speed chase and crashing his vehicle on Interstate 15 in central Utah.
Kaden Christen, of Orem, was killed in the crash Saturday night.
Utah Highway Patrol officials say a trooper had attempted to stop Christen’s vehicle on northbound Interstate 15 near Yuba Lake State Park.
The driver failed to pull over and sped away.
Authorities say Christen lost control, veered left off the road and rolled through the center median.
Highway Patrol officials say Christen died at the scene and a female passenger was taken to a hospital in poor condition. An update on her condition has not been released.
The incident remains under investigation.
