It appears the “Good Girls Revolt” has quickly been squelched.

The Sony-produced series will not be renewed by Amazon Studios for a second season on Amazon’s Prime video-streaming service, Variety reported Friday.

Sony will seek a new distributor for the series, a source told Variety.

The drama — based on a similarly-titled 2012 memoir by Newsweek magazine alumna Lynn Povich — centered on the struggles of female employees against chauvinism and discrimination at a fictional male-dominated news magazine in the the late ‘60s, had done well with viewers, according to the entertainment-news magazine.

“Data from Symphony Advanced Media, a company that tracks mobile streaming, suggested ‘Good Girls’ had a significant audience with an 80% completion rate,” Variety said, citing an unnamed source familiar with the matter.
