BERLIN, N.H. (AP) - New Hampshire officials say an arrest has been made in the death of 2½-year-old girl in the city of Berlin.

Prosecutors say 43-year-old Roger Joseph Dana was arrested Friday and charged with second-degree murder in the death of Madison Dana.

Police say the youngster was taken to the Androscoggin Valley Hospital on Nov. 27 after a 911 call. The girl was later pronounced dead. An autopsy found she died of blunt impact injuries, and the manner of death was ruled a homicide.

Prosecutors say the father assaulted the girl multiple times, causing her death.

Prosecutors say Dana is due to be arraigned Monday in Lancaster, New Hampshire. It was unknown Friday evening if he had a lawyer.
