NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - A suspect wanted in the stabbing death of a Nashville hair stylist has been taken into custody by authorities in New York City.

The Tennessean reports (https://tnne.ws/2gV3Asc) that Nashville police spokesman Don Aaron says authorities arrested 26-year-old Christopher William Gadsden in the Bronx on Thursday in connection with the slaying of Deon Brown.

WZTV-TV reported authorities had issued an arrest warrant for Gadsden for murder in Brown’s death after Metro police say his body was found in a Nashville trucking lot on Nov. 14.

Gadsden is accused of fatally stabbing Brown before taking off in the victim’s vehicle, which was recovered the next day in Hickory, North Carolina. Authorities believe the suspect may have driven the car there.

Brown was a cosmetologist who specialized in styling hair.
