DOVER PLAINS, N.Y. (AP) - New York State Police are investigating the cause of a Hudson Valley crash that killed two men just two days before Christmas.

The accident happened at around 7:20 a.m. Friday near the hamlet of Dover Plains in Dutchess County. Troopers responding to a 911 call say they discovered a vehicle upside down in a partially frozen pond.

Two deceased males were located inside the vehicle before it was removed from the water. Their names are being withheld pending notification of the families.

Dover Plains is located east of Poughkeepsie, about 80 miles south of Albany in the mid-Hudson Valley region of New York.
