OMAHA, Neb. (AP) - Eastern Nebraska is expected to see a line of heavy showers and storms in the late afternoon and evening.

Some of the storms could be severe, with high temperatures in the upper 40s. Forecasters say northern Nebraska and the Panhandle have a higher chance of seeing snow.

The storms could include damaging winds at speeds ranging between 25 mph and 45 mph, with gusts of up to 65 mph. The winds could cause airport delays and sporadic power outages. Omaha television station WOWT-TV reports (https://bit.ly/2i5B74y ) that temperatures are expected to reach 60 degrees in Omaha, breaking the current record high of 57 degrees set in 1946.
