AMERICAN FORK, Utah (AP) - Authorities say they believe an American Fork convenience store clerk was shot and injured by her estranged husband while at work on Christmas Eve.

Police Lt. Gregg Ludlow identified the woman as 39-year-old Tina Marie Lowe. She was shot multiple times and found by a customer at the store where she worked Saturday morning. Police say she’s in critical condition at a hospital.

Police originally believed the shooting was an attempted robbery but now believe it was domestic violence.

Ludlow says police suspect her estranged husband Michael Darrin Lowe in the shooting and are searching for him. His abandoned car was found by Lehi police late Saturday afternoon but the man had not been found Saturday night.
