WEST VALLEY CITY, Utah (AP) - The Latest on a shooting in a West Valley City parking lot (all times local):

11:30 a.m.

Police in West Valley City say they’ve arrested a 25-year-old man and a 17-year-old in connection with the fatal Christmas Eve shooting of a man in a parking lot.

West Valley City police spokeswoman Roxeanne Vainuku said Sunday that officers arrested 25-year-old Daniel Diaz on suspicion of murder and a firearm charge. It wasn’t immediately clear if Diaz had an attorney. He has not yet been formally charged.

Vainuku says the teenager has been booked into juvenile detention. His identity was not released.

Police say the man who died was 34-year-old Gary Hart. Officers initially misidentified him as Adam Hart.

He was found early Saturday in the parking lot of a Shopko after attending a nearby party.

Police believe a fight broke out and the man was shot and two other men were injured.

West Valley City police say a 34-year-old man has died and two other men are injured after a Christmas Eve shooting in a store parking lot.

Police say the shooting was reported around 4 a.m. Saturday. Police spokeswoman Roxeanne Vainuku released a statement identifying the man who died as 34-year-old Adam Hart from West Valley City.

One of the other men, whose identity was not released, was hospitalized in critical condition. The third man suffered a minor injury.

Vainuku says police believe Hart and the two others had been at a nearby party and met with another person or persons in the store parking lot, when a fight broke out.

Police Lt. Amy Maurer says police are still searching for a suspect and the gun used. Police say the incident may be gang-related.
