SALT LAKE CITY (AP) - Family members of a Utah woman who died over the summer say details from her autopsy report fuel their belief that she was killed.
The Deseret News reports (https://bit.ly/2hkrZqE ) the investigation into Kristi Price Maxwell’s death in Orangeville on July 17 has closed and the cause and manner were labeled undetermined.
But the report also says the position of the 47-year-old woman’s body and the events when police arrived strongly suggest that a homicide took place, and didn’t rule out smothering.
Emery County deputies say Maxwell’s 55-year-old husband shot himself in the chest after they arrived on scene. He was treated, then shot and killed himself on Aug. 8.
Relatives say Kristi Maxwell was vibrant and hope autopsy details dispel speculation that she died of suicide or an overdose.
