HONOLULU (AP) - Authorities say a 20-year-old man is in critical condition after being shot in the head on Christmas Day at a Honolulu shopping center and a search for the suspect is underway.
Honolulu police are asking for the public’s help in locating Dae Han Moon, who is wanted on suspicion of attempted murder.
Officers had responded to the Sunday shooting inside the Ala Moana Center’s parking structure to find Stevie Feliciano with a gunshot wound to the back of the head. The shopping center had been closed for the Christmas holiday at the time of the shooting.
Police say the victim and the suspect were arguing before Moon retrieved a gun from his vehicle and opened fire.
The suspect fled the scene, and police say a car matching the description of his vehicle was found torched in Kunia about an hour after the shooting.
The case remains under investigation.
The 20-year-old suspect is 5 feet 8 inches tall, weighs 200 pounds and has black hair and brown eyes.
The victim’s sister, Carine Feliciano, said her brother remains on life support.
“We’re just hoping that there’s gonna be a miracle … because right now the doctors say he’s brain dead,” she told Hawaii News Now. “So we’re hoping the last test they run, something different is gonna happen, a miracle is gonna happen.”
