Man’s body found at Newark park, death considered suspicious

NEWARK, N.J. (AP) - Authorities are investigating the suspicious death of a man whose body was found at a park in New Jersey’s largest city.

NJ.com reports (https://bit.ly/2im1AKZ ) the unidentified man was discovered on Monday morning in Vailsburg Park in Newark’s West Ward.

The Essex County Prosecutor’s Office is leading the investigation. A spokesman said the death has been classified as suspicious but additional details weren’t made available.

Investigators are still waiting for the results of an autopsy on the victim to determine his cause of death.
