PETERSBURG, Va. (AP) - The Petersburg Police Department is investigating the death of a 3-month-old boy.
Petersburg police Capt. Brian Braswell tells local media police were called Tuesday morning to a home where the baby was not breathing. The infant was pronounced dead at the scene.
Braswell says that while there were no outward signs of trauma or other immediate evidence to suggest foul play, police are investigating the baby’s death as “suspicious.”
An autopsy will be performed by the state medical examiner’s office.
