WATERBURY, Conn. (AP) - A Waterbury man has been charged with murder after police found a body in an apartment above a bar.
Waterbury Police say they found the body of 59-year-old Luis Rodriguez Tuesday afternoon in the bathroom shower stall of his apartment on East Main Street in Waterbury, suffering from significant head trauma.
Police said on Wednesday that 43-year-old Irving Duggans has been charged with murder.
They say the two men were involved in a dispute that escalated to a physical altercation.
Officers went to the residence after firefighters were called there to deal with a possible water leak from a second-floor apartment.
It’s unclear if Duggans is represented by an attorney who could comment on his behalf.
