WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (AP) - A South Florida man has been sentenced to 10 years in prison for fatally shooting a longtime friend he claimed had bullied him for years.
The Palm Beach Post (https://goo.gl/2AId1w ) reports that Ronald Hight was sentenced earlier this month. A jury found him guilty in October of manslaughter, though prosecutors had charged him with second-degree murder.
Authorities say Hight killed Craig Rivera during a January 2013 confrontation in Royal Palm Beach, where Hight says the other man was threatening to beat him up.
